Off to El Paso
At 2 p.m. on Saturday, the Missouri Tigers leave Columbia for the final game of the season. The Tigers will arrive in El Paso Saturday evening, a full six days before kickoff of the Brut Sun Bowl against Oregon State.
"I think a lot of us guys are just ready to get out of Columbia," said Chase Daniel.
While students have been gone for a week, the Tigers have had four additional practices in Columbia. They will have four more in El Paso. This trip is unlike most others. In general, the Tigers get to a road game the night before and fly home immediately after. They spend just one night away from home.
"It's not much of a difference," said Martin Rucker. "I guess you get to have a little fun in the city and we'd probably like to do that in some more of the city."
