Small delay before Chiles will head to Austin
Texas Longhorn fans have been anxiously awaiting the early arrival of several of the program's 2007 recruiting class, with six of the Horns' 21 commitments expected to enroll this week to get a head start on their collegiate careers.
Sources indicated that five of the six had in fact made their way to the Forty Acres as of Sunday night, but there is one player that has yet to officially report, and it's arguably the commitment that the Longhorn fan base is most excited to see in burnt orange.
John Chiles, the five-star quarterback prospect out of Mansfield Summit, was scheduled to move to Austin on Saturday, but he's encountered what he described as a small delay. Chiles, who attended Carrollton Ranchview High School as a freshman and a sophomore, had to submit his transcripts from those two years to the NCAA Clearinghouse and he's awaiting formal approval.
