Omaha Central loaded with speed for 2008
OMAHA, Neb. - Speed is something every team would like to have and Omaha (Neb.) Central head coach Jay Ball has plenty of it in his class of 2008.
Ball's Eagles are led on the field by running back Ronnell Grixby, outside linebacker Terrell Mayhue, wide receiver Shane Prater and defensive back Shaun Prater.
Both Shane and Shaun Prater are 48.8 second runners in the 400 meter dash and they have legitimate 4.5 speed in the 40. The Prater twins are the younger brothers of former Kansas State tight end Nate Prater, who currently plays with Division II power Nebraska-Omaha.
Ball said on top of being excellent students in the classroom at Central, Shaun and Shane Prater are also great leaders on the field for the Eagles. The 5-foot-11, 165 pound Shaun Prater was the Eagles top defensive playmaker in 2006, while the 6-foot, 165 pound Shane Prater was their top receiver.
