The result was expected, and even the slim point differential wasn't a surprise, but the way fifth ranked UCLA disposed of Arizona State on Thursday evening at Wells Fargo Arena involved a type of struggle the Bruins probably didn't anticipate.

Make no mistake about it, UCLA was ready to play this game. They came out focused and executed very well on offense throughout the first half, and while a few defensive lapses led to some easy Sun Devil points, lack of effort wasn't an issue on Thursday night for the Bruins.
