Early offer impresses Michigan prospect
Purdue just went into the state of Michigan and pulled one of the highest-rated prospects from that state's most talented class in over a decade last year with the signing of Orchard Lake quarterback Justin Siller.
While the class of 2008 in Michigan may not be quite as talented as the 2007 class was, it is still one of the better classes in the last decade and the Boilermakers are in early on a couple prospects.
Under the guidance of defensive coordinator Brock Spack, Purdue has been a consistent player for Michigan prospects over the last decade, bringing in several highly recruited ones. In late January, they were the first to offer Novi (Mich.) defensive end Tyler Hoover.
