Make it 17
Make it 17 for the Texas Longhorns.
Denver Mullen safety Nolan Brewster pledged to Mack Brown and the Longhorns on Friday bringing the number of commitments for the 2008 Texas football recruiting class to 17.
Before Friday, Brewster had narrowed his choices to Texas, Florida, Minnesota and Southern Cal.
Pete Carroll had text messaged Brewster two weeks ago offering him a scholarship and as late as a week ago, Brewster had said he wanted to take trips to USC and Florida before announcing a decision. But his lifelong interest in Texas altered his thinking on Friday when he called Mack Brown to commit to the Longhorns.
