Alex Linnenkohl--Redshirt Review

BeaverBlitz.com Although much of the time overlooked, coaches know that the offense is really only as good as the play of the offensive line. And when they do receive praise it is usually as a unit, not individually as is true with the skill position players.
One player who looks to make a name for himself, as being an integral cog in the offensive line is Alex Linnenkohl, from Olympia, Washington. Where many players look to come in and play as true freshmen, most offensive lineman utilize a redshirt year to add weight and adjust to the speed of the college game, and Linnenkohl was no exception.
"I think that this redshirt year was very important for me and I used it to really adjust to the difference in the speed of the game and the skill levels of everyone on the field," said Linnenkohl." (Practicing with the) scout team every day had the biggest effect; it really helps you to adjust and see how fast college football can be."
Linnenkohl is a versatile lineman that is skilled enough to play either guard or center for the Beavers. He also has experience as a long snapper and could fill-in in a pinch if needed. He has excellent footwork and is working on refining his technique.
