T-Mac has drive
Todd McNair used his legs to build an NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Oilers, but now he uses his wheels to coach.
After blowing out his Achilles Tendon three weeks ago during a pick-up basketball game, McNair has used a motorized scooter and crutches to get around.
Spending eight seasons in the NFL as a running back, McNair rushed and received for the Kansas City Chiefs and Houston Oilers. Retiring as the Chief's No. 10 all-time receiver, McNair learned to be resourceful as a running back.
Now he's become a resourceful coach.
Often seen on the sidelines using his crutches to stand on his scooter, McNair's tire tracks are all over Howard Jones Field. McNair, 41, is approaching the injury like a speed bump, with surgery holding an element of trepidation.
