Kestahn Moore Q&A
Junior running back Kestahn Moore might have been named the starting running back by head coach Urban Meyer, but he will have to overcome a sports hernia if he wants to become Meyer's first-ever 1,000-yard back.
Coach Meyer said you were heading into surgery Tuesday. Why are you going into surgery?
"Yeah, it's for my groin. Well, actually, I've been playing with it hurt since before the season (the 2006-07 season) started. It's been aching for a while [and] I've been trying to play off of it, thinking it was just a little strain and it would go away. It's been with me the whole time (last
season and now) and they (team physicians) want to check it out and put a little scope in tomorrow (Tuesday) and see what's in there. They think it's a hernia, so if something's in there they are gonna try and cut the hernia out."
When did you first think that something was wrong with you?
