Two big scholarship offers are in for Marietta (Ga.) Walton defensive end Chase Thomas. The talented Atlanta-area jumbo athlete has been offered by both the Orange Bowl and Sugar Bowl champions from the 2006 season.

"I've gotten a couple of more offers, I got one from Louisville and another one from LSU," Thomas said.

Bradley Dale Peveto has had success mining the metro area in the past for the Fighting Tigers and is leading the charge for Thomas, who could play tight end, defensive end or even outside linebacker in college.

Thomas talked about LSU.

"It was a big shock to me and my family," he said. "It's a high-caliber program and one of the best schools in the nation in football."
