Patchan enjoys visit, gets guarantee he needed to hear

Warchant.com An offensive lineman who is strong, fast, agile, and has a naturally built-in mean streak sounds like a customized prototype for FSU offensive line coach Rick Trickett. This past weekend, Trickett and FSU had the chance to play host to a recruit that fits that profile, 6-foot-7, 265-pound offensive tackle Matt Patchan.
"(The visit) went good," Patchan told Warchant.com. "We got a chance to talk to Coach Trickett, Coach Haggins, and Coach Bowden as well. That was very cool (talking with Coach Bowden) because of him being the winningest football coach in college football history. That was really cool. We talked to him for a while. I enjoyed that very much."
The four-star lineman is a talented player in the trenches on both sides of the ball in high school. His desire to continue playing both ways in college is pivotal to his recruitment. It was a big question in regards to Florida State entering the weekend, but Patchan said he heard the answer he wanted to.
