Lumpkin talks about the '07 backfield
When Danny Ware opted for the NFL draft following the 2006 season, many Bulldog fans might have thought the days of the three-head monster were over. The combination of Ware, Kregg Lumpkin, and Thomas Brown rushed for 1380 yards and ten touchdowns last season.
The seniors Lumpkin and Brown are back in the fold this year, but Lumpkin thinks newcomer Knowshon Moreno will more than fill the void left by Ware's departure.
Moreno had an impressive spring and concluded it with a great performance in the G-Day spring game. Lumpkin thinks Moreno has the skills to make it into the rotation as a redshirt freshman. Lumpkin also believes true freshman tailback Caleb King could enter the mix this year as well.
