Grigsby trying to earn a spot
In the first practices of Arizona's 2007 Fall Camp, very few freshmen saw much of the field during 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills, as they were still getting used to several aspects of the transition from high school to college football.
During the past few practices, the coaches have felt a little more confidence in a handful of the true freshmen, and some are starting to emerge as candidates to make an impact this season.
Thursday's practice was by far the best for 5-foot-10, 178-pound Nicholas Grigsby, a running back out of California High School in Whittier. Grigsby, a three-star prospect in high school, had a long run and a 40-yard catch, showing his versatility out of the backfield.
