Jeanpierre get 2nd chance, replaces Young
Kevin Young's tenure as the starting right guard for South Carolina lasted less than a day.
Hours after head coach Steve Spurrier told the media Tuesday at his weekly press conference that Young had been tabbed for his first career start against Georgia Saturday night (5:45 p.m., ESPN2), the 6-foot-4, 328-pound native of Clearwater, Fla. suffered a severely sprained ankle when third-team defensive lineman Kenrick Ellis "fell into his ankle".
Young is expected to be sidelined two to three weeks, Spurrier said.
Young was wearing a boot on his ankle and walking with crutches at Wednesday's practice.
