Cook return possible against Bulldogs
Emanuel Cook could take a major step this weekend in his recovery from appendicitis.
Sidelined for the last two weeks after being rushed to the hospital and undergoing a appendectomy a day after he had been suspended from the university, Cook could return to the field in a limited role Saturday against Georgia if he's cleared by team doctors in time.
"He's going on the trip," Spurrier said. "If the doctors clear him, he'll play. He's a good player. Good tackler, Good hustler. He's one of our best players, no question about it."
Spurrier said he does not expect to receive clearance from team doctors until Saturday morning.
