# Pitt plays Michigan State in East Lansing Saturday afternoon. The kickoff is scheduled for Noon and the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.

# Last year these two teams met at Heinz Field. Pitt jumped out at a 10-0 lead in the first quarter but the Spartans rallied to win 38-23. Pitt had trouble defending the spread option offense that day.

# Pitt looks to go 3-0 for the first time since 2000. This will be the first trip to East Lansing for the Panthers since 1958.

# The past two years Pitt head coach Dave Wannstedt beat Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio while he was at Cincinnati. Pitt beat Cincinnati last year 33-15 and in 2005 by the score of 38-20 while Dantonio was there as the Bearcats coach.
