Second quarter begins
The ridiculous start of the schedule, calling for BC to be the only team in the country to open the season with three straight conference games, is over. The record is 3-0. But Jeff Jagodzinski knows there's work to be done.
"To be honest with you, we've got so much more room for improvement. I think we can get a lot better," Jagodzinski told Sunday's media conference call.
Asked what areas he'd like to see the improvement, Jags said, "The overall execution. It's not a hundred percent and it won't be - but I'm just talking about consistency. I think we left some points on the field again yesterday."
He's right - but 3-0 is pretty good.
Last week, the point of emphasis was on the receivers holding the ball. What turned out to be seven drops (we thought it was six) was cut to what Jags called one Saturday night. But that emphasis will be replaced this week by the offensive line learning how to block without holding.
