Senior running back Chris Markey couldn't picked a better time to go housebound against Washington. With UCLA's walk-on freshman quarterback in the game and Washington charging back, Markey's dash for glory was just what the Bruins needed.

Markey spent a few moments with BruinBlitz.com after practice earlier in the week.

BruinBlitz.com: Great game on Saturday Chris. You looked like the Chris Markey of last year. What was the difference?

Markey: "I really just challenged myself last week during practice to come out and just really step my game up. I know I have really been consistent in how I have been playing the first couple games.
