Mike Teel: Ready to get back in the game
Rutgers quarterback Mike Teel went into the bye week as the nation's number one rated passer. Without having to pick up a ball all weekend, Teel remained at the top. Not only was he still at the top, but he was more than 21 percentage points better than second place Sam Bradford of Oklahoma.
Teel talked about how he spent his first and probably only free weekend of the fall.
"I just hung out around here with the guys and got to watch college football all day Saturday. I also watched some of the NFL games on Sunday. I tried to get away just for a little bit."
Even though the focus has now turned to Maryland, Teel and company made the most out of their week off.
"There's good parts of bye weeks and there's not so good parts," said Teel. "We
got a lot of good work done against our one defense and we're really able to get back to the basics that you go through in training camp. Overall, we got a lot out of it."
