Suspended Henton will return to practice
For the first time since his suspension, Ohio State's third-string quarterback Antonio Henton met with his coach Tuesday night.
Henton was arrested at 8:30 p.m. Monday night after offering an undercover police offer $20 for sex. He plead not guilty on charges of solicitation Tuesday morning in Franklin Municipal Court, and although he has yet to speak with his teammates, Henton did meet with coach Jim Tressel to discuss the issue and clear the air.
"A lot of what was said is private between me and Antonio," Tressel said. "But, whereas, I didn't have any of what really happened Tuesday afternoon, I feel like I have a much better grasp of it now after speaking with Antonio."
Tressel did come away with an overall feeling of regret from his redshirt freshman quarterback.
"He is very disappointed," Tressel said. "He's very sad this is even being discussed."
In a move that may come as a surprise to some, Tressel has allowed Henton to resume practicing with the team as the scout team quarterback beginning next week.
"He is a part of our family," Tressel said. "You wouldn't kick someone out your house for screwing up."
