Ensminger pleased with transfer to Tech
On the heels of an outstanding signing class, Louisiana Tech has been able to land several outstanding transfers, including former West Monroe standout quarterback Steven Ensminger.
The 6-foot-2, 223-pound Ensminger was part of Auburn's 2006 signing class, joining his father Steve Ensminger, who is the tight ends coach for the Tigers. Ensminger's stock was high after helping West Monroe claim the Class 5A state championship.
Ensminger - who was offered a scholarship by Louisiana Tech when he was a senior - said he had a good spring with Auburn and thought he was in line to be the backup for the Tigers during two-a-days. But when he did not get the backup position this season, he felt it was time to move on.
