McGaffie tearing it up
So far, it's been a good season for Galena Park and their standout running back Gahn McGaffie. Even though McGaffie had to miss a few games with a bad ankle, the team remained undefeated and things are still looking good going into district play.
McGaffie said it's been easy to stay focused on his season since making his decision this past summer. He also said that he thought it was helping him find success on the field.
On the weekends, McGaffie has spent a lot of time following his future team when he's been able to see them. McGaffie said he was happy with what he'd seen and was excited to watch and see how he would be used once he got to campus.
When he's gotten the chance, McGaffie has kept in touch with Missouri's coach, Craig Kuligowski. The two have formed a strong relationship and have a good time talking when they get a chance. He added that the coach was also hoping to get him in touch with one of his future teammates in the near future.
McGaffie said that he was just going to keep focusing on his senior season and trying to make a run in the playoffs. With so many others setting up visits at this time, McGaffie wasn't sure when he would be able to set his up. He did say there was hope that he would be in Columbia again soon.
