Blackmon excited about playing in Athens
Tray Blackmon is very familiar with Sanford Stadium.
He's been in the stands several times cheering for the Bulldogs. A native of LaGrange, Ga., Blackmon knows the Georgia coaching staff well.
But when he steps between the hedges this Saturday, he'll be wearing an Auburn uniform and will be doing everything in his power to lead the Tigers to an upset at No. 10 Georgia.
"It means a lot," said Blackmon of playing in his first game at Georgia. "I get back to my home state and get a chance to play down there at Georgia and just experience that atmosphere. I've seen it during recruiting but never been actually in it. It's going to be big to actually get down there and experience it."
Blackmon was close to becoming a Bulldog. The former five-star linebacker out of LaGrange High School had his choice of schools from around the country in 2005 but picked Auburn over Georgia and Florida State in the end.
