Rebels excited for national exposure
This doesn't happen everyday - the Ole Miss Rebels and the No. 1 team in the country colliding on Saturday afternoon in Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. Oh, and the whole country will be watching.
But come Saturday, the Rebels get a rare chance to topple the top-ranked team in the country, when Ole Miss hosts No. 1 LSU at 2:30 p.m. The game will be televised on CBS.
This is precisely why junior linebacker Tony Fein ended up at Ole Miss.
"This is the reason I came to Ole Miss," he said. "It's a big opportunity. We just have to go ahead and try to capitalize on it.
"It's something I've always dreamed about, playing in a game like this."
Days away from kickoff, Fein's already thinking about playing on the largest stage of his career.
"It's just exciting. I'm already excited - maybe too excited this early," he said. "It's definitely a great opportunity for the players, the staff and the university to show the nation what we can do."
Ole Miss head coach Ed Orgeron said he knows his players will be up for any game against LSU.
