Auburn's two quarterback commitments, one from Alabama, the other from Georgia, led their teams to big playoff wins Friday night. One did it through the air, the other on the ground.

Birmingham (Ala.) Briarwood Christian School's Barrett Trotter completed 14-of-20 passes for 258 yards and four touchdowns in a 41-13-semifinal-win over Cullman.

Columbus (Ga.) Carver QB Deron Furr rushed 14 times for 143 yards and two touchdowns. Carver defeated Carrollton 14-7 in the AAA quarterfinals.
