"We beat West Charlotte last week 10-8 and it was a lot for the first game," said Pugh. "It was a shoot out earlier in the year and expected that again, but our defense has been together more now and we were ready."
"West Charlotte had a lot of speed, they didn't get worn down and they played us tough. I think we grew up a bit, played tough and did what we had to do. We put some blitz packages in and played good defense."

The four-star corner was playing in front of his future position coach last Friday.
"Coach [Willie] Martinez (UGA Defensive Coordinator and Secondary Coach) was there and Coach [Mike] Bobo (Recruits N.C. for UGA) for the game and it was nice to see them."
