Some recruiting processes are long, drawn out affairs that can last nearly a year, with coaches and prospects forming strong bonds over a long period of time. But Northwestern's recruitment of Bellaire (Texas) Episcopal linebacker David Nwabuisi was more of a whirlwind, lasting only a few weeks.

But the brief courtship has been a fruitful one for both sides: Nwabuisi got an offer from the Wildcats last week, and Northwestern now stands at the top of his list of schools.
