Pugh makes big play early
It was rainy, sloppy, windy and not the most perfect conditions on Miami (Fla.) for the Offense-Defense All-American game Friday night, but that did not stop the talented athletes from going out and competing in the Orange Bowl. The University of Georgia had a strong representation and defensive back Makiri Pugh made his mark early. His big play set the tone early for the East.
"I was playing free safety and we were in cover two and I saw the outside receiver turn out, I knew what the inside guy was going to do," said Pugh as he replayed his top play.
"I saw the quarterback pump the other way and then I jumped the route and made an interception. I had a good feeling where the ball was going to go and I made the play."
