Under head coach Steve Kragthorpe, Louisville has made more forays into the Detroit area than they did under his predecessors. The Cardinals are back in the Great Lake State in the class of 2009 and one player they have targeted is Detroit Renaissance's Dana Dixon, a 6-3, 180-pound safety and wide receiver.

Louisville had previously offered Dixon's teammate, four-star linebacker Chris Norman who is a Michigan State commitment.
