Bruins pick up No. 6
The UCLA Bruins are on a roll as they landed another outstanding defensive back who has the talent to come in and play early in his career. This player is a four-star and will participate in the US Army All-American Bowl game in January. It is obvious the Bruins are beginning to hit stride on the recruiting trail.
The latest to commit to UCLA is four-star athlete prospect Byron Moore (6-1, 200, 4.5) from Harbor City (Calif.) Narbonne.
The Bruins won this key early recruiting battle over other offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Cal, Colorado, Vanderbilt, Minnesota and New Mexico. USC and LSU were also showing a lot of interest. LSU was on the Narbonne campus last Thursday and they indicated that an offer could come to Moore this week from the Tigers.
That was before Moore decided to cast his lot with the Bruins.
"I made it official this morning," Moore said. "I'm going to be a Bruin."
