Michigan picking up interest in S.C. safety
Even before Rich Rodriguez took over at Michigan, the state of South Carolina had started to become a little bit of a recruiting hotbed for the Wolverines. One of the top Palmetto State prospects Michigan ahs their eye on in the class of 2009 is safety D.J. Swearinger of Greenwood.
Swearinger has tallied 161 tackles and six interceptions for Greenwood over the last two seasons. He also has rushed for 916 yards and scored 13 times.
