Sooners offer OL who has new favorite
Through the six days of Oklahoma's high school camp there was no offensive lineman who was any more impressive than Strafford (Mo.) Strafford R6 offensive guard Tyler Evans. The 6-foot-6, 299-pound blocker, unlike many others, spent all three days at the camp and dominated in one-on-one drills as well as pass-blocking drills.
It was Evans' second straight year in attendance and much like most who saw him workout the big lineman thought that his improvement from year one was a massive leap in the right direction.
"It went great," Evans said of his performance. "This year, I felt a lot more comfortable with the offensive line and the drills.
"I think it's great when I get to learn from James Patton, he physically shows you how to do things, and that's what kind of coach I like."
