MORGANTOWN--When today's high school football prospects talk about making a college decision for 2009, the word "feeling" is prominent in their discussion. How they "feel" on campus when they make their recruiting visits.

A school like West Virginia University boasts facilities to match others in the Mid-Atlantic Region, particularly when you consider the most dominant football program in the Big East conference since Miami does its work with a $40 million annual budget.

Head coach Bill Stewart accepts an annual salary by half of what ex-coach Rich Rodriguez made in 2007. He hired a Dream Team composed of David Lockwood and Steve Dunlap, who have served as defensive coordinators at programs like Minnesota, North Carolina State, and Marshall. Stew requested $400,000 to lure Doc Holliday away from Florida. Holliday is WVU's associate head football coach/recruiting director.
