Prioleau prepared for big senior year
Fort Worth All Saints Episcopal tight end Huston Prioleau plays at a small private school in the D/FW Metroplex. However, that doesn't mean he and his teammates play and practice with any less intensity than the public schools do.
Like their public school brethren, Prioleau and his teammates have been out in the August heat for four to five hours a day getting ready for the 2008 campaign. Episcopal just finished its two-a-days since private schools begin a week earlier than public ones. While it frequently reached triple-digit temperatures during practice, Prioleau actually considers the heat to be of more of a friend than an enemy.
"We practice on our game field," he said. "It's field turf, so that ratchets up the heat a little bit. The way we look at it, our first two games are at home and [the opposing teams] won't be ready for the heat like we will."
