Tharp takes big step forward
Huldon Tharp is on the road to recovery. After tearing his ACL this summer, the 6-foot-0, 208-pound outside linebacker from Mulvane (KS) High School is progressing at a faster than normal pace. In fact, Tharp took a big step forward earlier in the week and is way ahead of the normal recovery schedule. Tharp, who was in Lawrence on Saturday evening to watch Kansas and Sam Houston State, received an important message from Mark Mangino.
When Tharp isn't working to recover from the devastating injury that prevented him from playing in his final season of high school football, you'll find the No. 60 ranked outside linebacker in the class of 2009, on the Mulvane High School football field.
