Hogan spilled his figurative guts out on Mountaineer Field to save what could have been two key Cincinnati offensive plays and give WVU some impetus after halftime.
The Bearcats, of course, led, 20-7, and one wondered whether the Gold & Blue would ever slow Tony Pike's aerial assault, much less stop it. The junior had completed 13 of 22 passes for 154 yards in the first half (he finished with 178). He had thrown no interceptions, but was sacked once. It looked like he was doing to the U's defense what he had done two weeks ago to USF.
