Langston inks with Mississippi State
It has been a wild ride in the past 24 hours for East Central Community College's Maurice Langston.
The three-star prospect committed to Mississippi State on Tuesday and inked a scholarship with the Bulldogs on Wednesday.
"This feels great," Langston said. "It's always been my dream and it's a dream come true."
Langston played at Northeast Lauderdale and signed with Arkansas State out of high school. But after redshirting one season there he transferred to East Central earning all-state leading Mississippi in touchdowns with 21.
"The junior college league that I played at has a lot of great players," Langston said. "I played against Terrence Cody and you can see the impact he is making at Alabama. I'm going to try to make that same impact for my team."
The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder who played receiver but projects as a cornerback for the Bulldogs said he steered clear of Cody when they played last season.
