Arlington QB gets Aggie offer
Arlington quarterback Matt Joeckel hit 58-percent of his passes for over 3,000 yards and 29 touchdowns last season in leading Arlington to its first playoff berth in several years. Joeckel's skills did not go unnoticed among college recruiters as he's made unofficial visits this fall and winter to check out numerous programs that have expressed an interest in him.
However, Joeckel had yet to receive any offers as many teams had expressed an interest in waiting to watch him in spring drills before extending an offer. But then, all of a sudden Joeckel was hit with a trio of offers within a week's time from three BCS conference schools.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Joeckel has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Baylor and Arkansas.
