Can Jones Ignore Family Tradition?
Through the years Oklahoma has put plenty of pursuit into the recruitment of the Jones family. Willie Jones Sr. and Willie Jones Jr. are now joined by their son and brother, respectively, in Sooner interest. Winter Park (Florida) Lake Howell four-star linebacker Christian Jones, the nation's No. 67 player recently joined his family members in picking up a Sooner scholarship offer and also joins them with Sooner interest.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound four-star linebacker says that his father had real interest in Oklahoma and although he ended up at Florida State has always held the Sooners in high regard.
As time has worn on his interest in the goings on in Norman were passed onto his sons.
"My dad went over there on a visit when he was a player he still talks about how much he liked it. Florida State, Oklahoma, and Ohio State were his top three and ever since he told me that I started checking out the schools," Jones explained.
