Sanders takes in State's scrimmage
Vincent Sanders has not been a stranger on the Mississippi State campus over the last few months.
The four-star wide receiver/ safety attended several Bulldog basketball games and came to their first junior day. But this past Saturday, the Noxubee County standout took in MSU's scrimmage and had the opportunity to see Dan Mullen's spread offense up close and personal.
"My visit was pretty nice," Sanders said. "I got a chance to see some of the receivers there and the cornerbacks that they have that I was kind of impressed by. I liked the offense. They were spreading it around, throwing the ball deep, short, throwing screens and running draws so I was impressed by it. That's kind of what we do at Noxubee."
Not only was the 6-foot-3, 182-pounder looking at the offense, he was also checking out the depth chart at the two positions the Bulldogs are recruiting him at.
"It gave me a chance to see what all they've got," Sanders said. "It gave me a chance to see how many safeties and receivers they've got."
One new aspect the new coaching staff at State has implemented is more competitive and intense practices. Sanders got a chance to see just how into practice the players got with the offense and defense competing against one another in Saturday's scrimmage.
