Chris Thompson wasn't always a football player. In fact, teammate Jacobbi McDaniel laughs at the story of how the four-star running back started his career.



"I usually tell people that I was scared to play football and my step-dad forced it on me to play football," said Thompson. "I played sandlot, but organized football in pads, I felt like I was too small. He kept pushing me and made me go out there. When I was younger, he made me stand beside him and put my hand in his pocket and he'd throw the ball way down the field and I better catch it before it hit the ground."
