D.J. Howard picked up an offer from Auburn a couple of weeks ago.

He followed that up with a visit to AU with his coach. A few days later he was back on the Plains with his mother -- a trip that included a long meeting with head coach Gene Chizik.

The visits, and offer, have pushed the 6-foot, 195-pound Howard closer to a decision.
