The Alabama offense, in general, and its quarterback Greg McElroy, in particular, went through a late October slump. Even though the Crimson Tide won their last three games, the offense scored just two touchdowns. Alabama had one rushing touchdown against both Ole Miss and South Carolina. All of its points against Tennessee came on Leigh Tiffin field goals.
