Since the Southeastern Conference divided into two divisions for football in 1992, LSU has appeared in the league championship game on four occasions. The Tigers represented the Western Division in 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007. Three of those LSU teams - all but the 2005 squad - won the SEC title. Two of those teams - the 2003 and 2007 squads - won national championships.
