LSU picked up one of the nation's top athletic quarterbacks Monday evening when Russell Shepard of Houston-Cypress Ridge gave Les Miles his verbal commitment. Shepard is currently rated as the nation's No. 4 overall prospect. He finished his junior season with 2,300 yards of total offense and 26 touchdowns.
