Tuesday was awards day for the LSU basketball team. Trent Johnson was named Southeastern Conference Coach of the Year. Marcus Thornton was named SEC Player of the Year. Tasmin Mitchell joined Thornton on the first-team All-SEC squad. Garrett Temple was selected to the second-team All-SEC squad. Temple and Chris Johnson were chosen to the All-SEC Defensive team.
