Marcus Thornton has been a big-time scorer during his two years in the LSU basketball program. So, it was quite appropriate that Thornton would enjoy another productive day in his first NCAA tournament game. Thornton scored 30 points, including seven in the final four minutes, to help the Tigers knock off Butler 75-71 on Thursday at the Greensboro Coliseum.
