Mississippi State has lost seven straight games for the first time since 2006.

Florida received 18-point efforts from seniors Erik Murphy and Kenny Boynton and outrebounded the Bulldogs 44-20. Freshman guard Fred Thomas led the Bulldogs with 19 points in 25 minutes off the bench.
The Gators hold a 59-49 edge in the series and have claimed the last two meetings. Florida is 37-13 in games played in Gainesville against the Bulldogs and have won two straight in the series there as well.
