UCLA was way ahead of the recruiting curve when they secured the verbal committal of four-star cornerback Marlon Pollard (6-1, 170, 4.6) who was playing his football at Valencia, Calif., at the time, but has since moved and will be playing his senior season at San Bernardino (Calif.) Cajon. BruinBlitz.com caught up with who many feel could be one of the top three corners in the Golden State.
Pollard, an outstanding jumper in track, decided to forgo competing in track so that he could focus on football.

Washington, Nebraska and Notre Dame went so far as to offer Pollard a scholarship just in case he has a change of heart.
"I have worked very hard and see it pay off with offers is a very good feeling," Pollard said. "I'm still solid with UCLA."
