April 10, 2011Trinton Sturdivant's football future could well be over.
Georgia associate athletic director Claude Felton said the senior left tackle suffered a torn right ACL during Saturday'scrimmage at Sanford Stadium.
Sturdivant missed all of 2008 and all of 2009 with a torn left ACL. He is scheduled for surgery later this week.
The Bulldogs appear to have two options regarding who fills the left tackle role.
Senior Cordy Glenn would be the obvious choice.
As a sophomore, Glenn started four games at left tackle following Sturdivant's second ACL tear in the 2009 season-opener against Oklahoma State and had been rotating between there and right tackle this spring.
Junior A.J. Harmon could also be an option, but has only played in three career games.
Should Glenn slide over to left tackle, Austin Long, Justin Anderson and Kolton Houston would appear to be the top options at right tackle, with Kenarious Gates left guard, Ben Jones at center and either Chris Burnette or Anderson at right guard.
